Simone Biles

Simone Biles was an American gymnast born March 14, 1997 in the city of Columbus, Ohio. She is considered to be one of the most outstanding athletes. The 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro she became the first female U.S. gymnast to win four gold medals in the same Games and was also the first gymnast to win three consecutive world all-around titles (2013-15). Biles was born at home in Spring Texas, in the Houston metro area. Biles and her sister Adria had been adopted by Ronald Biles and Nellie Biles. Simone began to take an interest in the sport of gymnastics as a young girl in a day-care field excursion in Bannon's Gymnastix and remained there for eleven years under supervision of coach Aimee Boorman. Biles achieved a silver medal at vault in 2010 and also a bronze at the women's Junior Olympic National Championships. She then moved up to competitions at the elite level in 2011. Within two years, she won the event. The thing that set Biles apart was her consistency her fun-loving personality, and the extreme level of effort she put into her routines throughout the four events she competed in: vault uneven bars, balance beam, and floor exercise.
