Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah (born in India) is an Indian actor, singer-songwriter and performer. She is mainly involved in Tamil and Malayalam movies. Her first appearance as an actor was in the Tamil film Pachaikili Muthucharam in addition to her Malayalam debut was with Annayum's Rasoolum. Andrea Jeremiah has been identified as an Anglo-Indian born in Arakkonam Tamil Nadu. Her father works as a lawyer in the Madras High Court. Her younger sister works as a research assistant from Belgium and works in Leuven. Jeremiah was born near Chennai and attended National Public School and graduated from Women's Christian College. Jeremiah has stated that she was an avid enthusiast and wanted to be a psychiatrist until she completed the 12th grade of her board exams.Andrea was a classical pianist when she was just eight. She was part of The Jackson Five style troupe Young Stars aged 10. The group was the beginning of her musical and singing career. She also worked as an actor in the college. She was also one of the Student Senate President at Women's Christian College. Andrea started her acting career as a young actress acting in Girish Karnad Nagamandala. The role she played in 2006's new leo Coffee advertisement was with Shiva. She also acted in the Podhigai Channel on a TV serial. She performed throughout India. She performed a very brief part in Kanda Mudhal, the 2005 final episode. Gautham V. Menon was invited after she performed a number in the Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu film to be featured as a leading female for Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea is Kalyani in this film, which is an adaptation of James Siegel's novel Derailed. The husband of the character is involved in an affair with her and she's blackmailed. Andrea was cast in the film after Simran, Tabu, and Tabu had been approached. The film premiered in the beginning of 2010. It was announced in the early part of 2010. for a role in the film. Venkat Prabhu starred in Mankatha. It was released on August 11 in 2011. Annayum Rasoolum which is a romance film directed by Rajeeev Ravi, released in 2013, marked her Malayalam debut.
